This Privacy Policy describes how Revent CRM and the Revent for GmailChrome Extension (“Extension”), operated by Revent (“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the platform or installing the Extension you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information Collection

The Extension collects the following information:

  • Email sender information — name and email address of the sender whose email you are currently viewing in Gmail.
  • Authentication tokens — session tokens required to communicate with the Revent CRM backend, stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.

We do not read the body or content of your emails. We do not collect browsing history, cookies, or any data outside of the Gmail interface.

2. How We Use Data

The information we collect is used exclusively to:

  • Create and manage contacts in the Revent CRM system based on email sender details.
  • Create deals associated with those contacts within the CRM.
  • Authenticate your session so only authorized users can access CRM functionality.

3. Data Storage

  • Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local and are never transmitted to any party other than the Revent CRM backend.
  • Contact and deal data is stored on the Revent CRM server hosted at reventcrm.app, backed by a secured database.
  • No data is stored on third-party analytics or advertising platforms.

4. Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with the following third-party services:

  • Gmail (Google)— the Extension runs as a content script on mail.google.com to read sender information from the currently viewed email.
  • Revent CRM Backend— hosted at reventcrm.app, receives sender data to create contacts and deals.

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Data collected by the Extension is only sent to the Revent CRM backend and is accessible only to authorized account holders within your organization.

6. Security

  • Access to the Extension and Revent CRM is restricted to authenticated users within your organization.
  • All communication between the Extension and the CRM backend occurs over HTTPS.
  • Authentication tokens are stored securely in the browser’s local extension storage, inaccessible to other extensions or websites.
  • All tenant data is fully isolated — each organization’s data is separated and inaccessible to other tenants.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform or Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
